Constellations- Jack JohnsonIt was just another night
With a sunset and a moonrise
Not so far behind
To give us just enough light
To lay down underneath the stars
We listened to Papa's translations
Of the stories across the sky
We drew our own constellations so i went out with teddyyy yesterday. it's cool hanging out with him, cuz he talks a lot. :P
movie + food + beer= jolly good time x belly fatanyhows, i've come to realise that old people are actually rather adorable. at least my grands are.
it's just nice doing stuff for them, although it can be drag sometimes. like i was late meeting teddyyy because i had to help them fix up the canto channel on cable.
they were so cute. the canto channel was already supposed to be there, and when they tuned to it and it was blank, my grands just sat there and stared at the black screen and kept complaining to me that it was supposed to be there.
they just sat there because they felt they couldn't do a thing. and both my grands shared to same reaction, just as they had shared everything for the past half a century.
i think it's amazing, that thing called fate.
it's also traumatizing, that thing called choice.
i heard from my mum that my grandma used to be really pretty (she was, i saw her photo), and there were loads of rich blokes going after her.
but for some reason, she chose my very penniless grandpa. :)
you know, my grandpa still holds my grandma's hand whenever they cross the road. okay, whenever they jaywalk. often i would look back and notice my grandma nagging my grandpa, and my grandpa would have that same stauch, rubbery expression on his face as he supports her big waddling body (she has weak legs).
believe it or not, my grandma still gets jealous. and i remember this one time when my grandpa was going batam or sth, and my grandma told my mum not to give him too much money, lest he spends it on promiscuous women. :P
whatever the case, i can't imagine my grands without each other.
my grands are staying at my place now, and i know my belly's to stay with my grandma's excellent cooking.
